some fall, in autum
I took this picture from somewhere very high up. The walks to work in the morning always require a jacket now. It was a nice day at work today, a light mood and orange-flavoured cinamon rolls.
I was discussing with Steven, my co-worker, about the small self-serve deli at the service station across the road. We wondered how much they charge for the 'make your own" sandwiches because we thought, you know, you could just pile on a really large alottment of meat and cheese and how would they know you had packed on enough for three sandwhiches worth? So I opted for the deli to test the system out. After I had made the sandwich and was walking to the counter, Steven loudly asked, "so, did you put on more than you felt you ought to have?". I get to the counter and the guy pulls out a little scale and weighs my sandwich and then looks on some list to see how much to charge for that wieght. It was a little odd and kind of funny.
My weekend ritual of sushi, the bookstore, and a movie went as planned. As I left the movie, something struck me as wierd. People are always in a hurry to leave the theatre when the credits start rolling at the end of the film. In their rush to get out, alot of them seem to leave behind their companions and I always seem to somehow get in between them and their companions. Then the guy who left his buddies behind because he was so much in a hurry to get out hesitates and has second thoughts. He starts looking back for his friends as if it just occurred to him "oh wait, I have to leave with those people!". I always feel so uncomfortable getting sandwiched in between a group like that on the walk out.
Anyway, I took a picture of a spider today. I hope it comes out good.
