basement living and more...

Well, I have relocated to Provo, Utah as of about two weeks ago. It's great here. Everything is really clean looking and there's huge mountains in every direction. The weather's really nice too(don't know if I'll be saying that this winter). I am currently residing in a friend's basement, which is great. The best thing is that I found a job very quickly and easily here. Three days after arriving I saw an ad in the help wanted classifieds for an Audio Engineer. I sent them my Resume'(C.V.) and one week and two interviews later, I was employed. It's a software company that makes english as a second language software for children. It's a really cool place to work and everyone is really extremely friendly. They also bought me a nice Mac G5 dual 2 Ghz tower for my work station. Man, I'm really loving working on a Mac. The OS is so much nicer and smooth in every way. I never cared for them too much in the past but now that I'm on one every day, it's awesome. I'm going to have a hard time going back to PC if I ever have to(which I'm fairly certain I will). In related news, Apple is going to be switching to intel architecture starting next year, which should boost their hardware capabilities and possibly(although unlikey) lower costs of their systems. Isn't it strange that Apple is switching to intel processers and microsoft has switched to ppc(the cpu macs use currently) processors for their Xbox 2? Anyway, enough tech garble. I think my lunch break is about over so I'm back to my task of watching FCP batch capture(oh, I said enough tech garble...oh well).
